Will the family be pressured into a settlement, or will the case go to court?
And how will the city react when the truth comes out?
Muna officially files the case with the court.
That same day, a reporter from the city's largest newspaper arrives at Ahmet Bey's library.
He is Münir's old colleague, the name Nil had found.
The reporter's name is Kerem.
He has worked outside the city for many years, but he never forgot Münir.
I could not believe it when they found you, Kerem says, shaking Münir's hand.
Everyone thought you were dead.
That is what I wanted them to think, Münir says with a faint smile.
But there is no need to hide anymore.
Kerem examines the documents, asks questions, and takes notes.
This story, he finally says, is not just local.
It could reach national newspapers too.
The next morning, the story is published.
Forty-Year Secret: The Missing Journalist Returns.
The whole city begins talking about it.
In cafes, on buses, in markets, everyone seems to be telling the same story.
Elif runs into some of her old neighbors outside her house.
Some of them stare at her, their eyes full of surprise.
But most approach with a warm smile.
Your father was a good man, an elderly neighbor says.
I always felt something was missing from that story.
That same day, a crowd gathers around the clock tower.
No one has come this close to it in years.
People take photos, talk, and wonder.
Ahmet Bey stands in front of the crowd and explains everything he knows about the tower.
He explains why it was closed, and why the light burned that night.
The tower has been used as a kind of signal for a long time, he explains.
My grandfather was one of the people who helped the journalist keep the documents safe.
That light was a warning, lit in moments of danger.
Forty years ago, and again this time.
Büşra, Lena, Nail, and Nil stand among the crowd, watching with a mixture of pride and disbelief.
We just received one message, Nail whispers.
And we became part of something this big.
Nil smiles.
Sometimes, she says, the smallest things reveal the biggest truths.
How will the court case be resolved?
And what will the tower mean to the city now?
